This is typical trend driven investment now, but late stage, influencers driver the market and then a lot of VCs seem to follow suit.

Are VCs still in the "smart money" cohort if they are following?

Reminds me of that Portlandia sketch "put a bird on it". Is it tech? Put AI on it. Is it health-adjacent? Put supplements / gray market / ethically-questionable-legislation-side-stepping on it.

Also makes me wonder, if AI is going to eat the world, why YC doesn't have a vibehouse spitting out thousands of these startups a month.
