Almost all of them have to race to the bottom to survive. Most folks would just buy the cheapest/shiniest of them all. I mean there are fridges w/ a touch LCD on the front panel.

Buying quality appliances and tools is a form of art and pretty much you have to tear them down to check about the said quality. It's quite disheartening. Then buying spare parts is another major issue.
