This all started by the "I don't have root so I can't reset your network ... but I'm in the docker group so just let me get root from that by ..." agentic responses.
Those never made it anywhere of course. It's not news unless it produces money.
It's all fun and games until Skynet becomes sentient. Actually, I'd like Skynet to become sentient and wrath big tech first order of business. But I hope my house lives off the grid by then. So maybe not.
no, it's all fun and games until the great filter of "we have too much money to be punished" hits the threshold of "we didn't lick enough boots with campaign contributions"

Not open-source apparently.
And I cant find the reddit post but I think I read that videos/assets are not actually pre-downloaded, they have to be requested through Tiktok API using the provided code. So if Tiktok patches, the code will need updates too.
I think the post is essentially a decent technical-explainer (value adding and interesting) in exchange for effectively a little product placement (selling either just the code or code already running on a server at additional cost)
Mods will almost always turn off flagging for stories if you email them. I think it's too easy to flag something to death and not enough people know they can just email the mods
Been building Chat Octopus (like ChatGPT but for media and content: https://chatoctopus.com) since Feb this year. Now it's available on web, ios, and android but I'm finding it hard to market it and find users.
Which is, i think, a common thing about solo devs. How do you guys deal with that?
I feel like everyone I know/knew who was really into Airtable was pretty sophisticated and used it for complex data wrangling that was beyond the typical tools they had access to.
But they were often solo operators for that data because whatever they were wrangling wasn't worth putting into a database or investing in more robust tools (from a company perspective)..
We've been building motion graphics capability (on chatoctopus.com), and "closing the loop" has been one of the hardest challenges. Coding agents have it easy; static analysis, lints, unit tests, etc.
But when visual perception and "taste" get involved, it becomes a lot harder.
